System architecture - Example
DigiDel makes the personnel mobile, productive and flexible.
If using the DigiDel system with integrated bar code (or also RFID-) technology,
the logistics processes become more and more transparency and automation and it will better managed and organized.
The manual document (paper) handling are past.
The scan process during loading and supply provides dynamic matching between required and actual loading status.
Under DigiDel-System architecture, e.g. you will find an example including WLAN technology.
The PocketPC with "DigiDelPDA" and bar code technology
"DigiDelPDA" consists of a mobile device (PocketPC) with integrated bar code scanner and an easy-to-use embedded software
application.
DigiDelPDA includes digital delivery note, invoice data, costumer specific data and the recipient's signature.
These data are loaded via radio technology (WLAN) or the docking station from the server into the PDA.
The scan process provides dynamic matching between required and actual loading status.
PC application "DigiDelGUI"
The web based application "DigiDelGUI" is a useful tool for starting and supervising the transmission of
the data from and to the mobile devices.
It needs only a browser.
The communication between the PocketPC and the PC can be the Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) or the serial
interfaces (RS232, via Docking station). So data can be transmitted automatically when the device is docked.
The employee have an overview about the daily routes and there status. Tabs show the routes, sorted by date.
The tables show the route there delivery addresses, there dispatch units (packages) and there articles.
The employee has thus an overview only on one screen.
Also the application starts the transmission to the database for long-term archiving.
