Connecting the patient monitor
Seriell Interface (RS232)
The monitor data are transferred via the serial interface (RS232) to the PC.
You have three possibilities to make a connection between monitor and computer. It depends on the way and
the distance to the monitors.
1. Using the COM-Port on the comupter, a configured Modular Adapter (DB9F on RJ45F) and a patch cable.
2. Using the USB-Port on the computer with a USB to Serial-Adapter and a configured Modular Adapter and a patch cable.
3. Using the LAN with a LAN/WLAN to serial converter (Lantronix, WinBox Lantronix) and a configured Modular Adapter and
a LAN-Cable.
The devices can be ordered with our online form, completely configured.
LAN (local area network) Interface
To connect the monitors via the LAN interface a patch cable between the PCs/switches and the monitors is needed.
If parallel operation of IIC (via LAN) use for the TrendFace system the RS232 interface with e.g. Lantronix.
If TrendFace Interface via LAN, then no IIC connection is possible (in general, no interaction with IIC).
System Setup - Network system
- multi-user system in a local network, used directly on the PC in the intranet or PDA (WLAN)
- the 3 levels (data acquisition, data storage, visualization) of data processing are distributed in separated applications
